Hi. A very elegant box.
A couple of questions please. how did you fill the amboynna (I assume that its a burl and needed quite a bit of filling) ? Also, is the amboyna veneer or solid timber ?

useless trivia: did you know that amboyna burl is the burl from New Guinea rosewood tree?

Firstly, Yes Veneer,

Secondly grain fill was done with Many, many, many coats of shellac.

Not nearly as complex as your Cutlery Canteen which is magnificent by the way.

And yes I did know the rosewood thing. I'm lead to believe that it's the only tree that produces 2 different commercial timbers.

I have a large quantity in my timber shed so the short answer is "the shed".
