    Default American Walnut Watch Box

I had a request by a Sydney gent to make a watch box for his father. The request came with detailed drawings and the box had to be made from Walnut and be lined with black leather and there was to be a lift out tray for a spare bracelet with storage underneath. The price was accepted and i went about sourcing the Walnut and made the box. The design is far from fancy instead the focus was on the timber and the build. Once the photos of the finished item were sent and a request was made for a delivery address i was quite surprised and pleased that it was going to a member of a customer service centre for a world renowned watch maker.
I was curious so i asked why i was chosen and he said he had looked within his own Italy where he was born and had asked around locally but came up with no pleasing alternatives until he came upon my website and liked my story and designs. The box was well received and all indications point to further orders from his department.
I am happy that my persistence in sticking with simply designed but well constructed boxes is starting to pay off.
