First attempt...
Hi all,
I have only recently joined this forum, and I have to say it's fantastic!
When I was younger, probably like most of us, I grew up as my father's apprentice, his labourer. I'm now 34 and have recently started compiling my own set of tools. I've built a cat run (still incomplete but it's getting there - I'll post photos of it another time!) and have recently built my first box! And, I'm feeling kinda proud of myself!
As a gift for my better half, I decided to build her a display box for the Harry Potter book series. I only finished last night and what better place to display it than here!
Anyway, I have a great deal of respect for all of you guys who can make such beautiful stuff with timber, and hope that I can acheive half of the quality that you are able to achieve.
Thanks!
Chris

I think that for a first effort you have achieved above the norm. I am particularly impressed with the fact you have achieved good workmanship in a box that is of YOUR own design and is for a specific purpose. Very well done.

Great start! Keep after it. Each box seems to take on a life of it's own in the making.
