Aussie Blackwood
A little box I made to compliment the Rasp knife I made as a gift for my brother last Xmas.
The box and knife handle scales are from Australian Blackwood. Inlays and mitre keys are Mahogany.
Hope you enjoy.
Cheers
Jacques

Blackwood is a fabulous timber, and you have shown it off very nicely in this box.

Looks really nice and a beautiful job on the knife too. I assume you did all the cutout to house the knife as well.
When I was in your part of the world I was told that Blackwood is pretty readily available as the growing conditions are right for it. Is this correct?Dallas
