:long awaited Victorian Sewing box
I have finally finished a replica antique Victorian sewing box for my wife. The angles certainly tested me. The majority is veneered mdf and solid blackwood. I did not turn the stem but the rest is my work. Finished in danish oil. The center compartment is for your project and the surrounding compartments for cottons etc.
Now for my next project.....

Well done. Sure to have been many hours in making this creation.
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.

Hi,
That is very nice. Did you have a plan or a picture to work from, or is it just in the style of?

Nice work If I knew somebody that would use one I wouldn't mind having a go at something like that myself!

I already have an original thanks The top has an inlaid chess board done in 'Tunbridge work' - basically marquetry done with glued up sticks of veneers.

A lot of fine detail! This caught my eye very quickly. The structure is so smart! Nice wood too. Good job.

Super, like your workmanship and skill getting all those angles made.
I would make one also if a younger member of our family did any sewing, but not much of that around at the moment!woody U.K.
