    Hi Dallas,

i think one of the things I like about box making is what you say - so much to learn and every box brings the possibility of being THE one. In my case it never is, but the journey is what it’s all about.

On the table saw I used to stick a piece of 19mm UHMW onto the fence as a low auxiliary. Now I use a piece of 6mm ply for greater accuracy. I’ll find (or take) a pic for you.

    Regards,

    Brian

    Dallas,

Here’s my table saw box lid cutoff jig. The base is either clamped or double-sided taped to the table. The ‘fence’ is only 6 mm high, removing a lot of the potential error factor. The box slides along the ply base which has a zero-clearance groove. I also use some shop-made spacers to hold the cuts open - I don’t have a photo of these but will take one tomorrow.
