    Middle of August. 09.30

Temp.55 farh. in workshop and 75% humidity.

That means its cold and damp.

Anyone know how a 70 year old can get accepted into Australia.

Yes I am an orphan. (but 70 years of age).

BTW I have never seen rain for so long and heavy today down here in Devon.

Good job its wasn't winter and snow it would have been over 6ft deep.

Well I could adopt you as my daddy (do they have 15 year old fathers in Devon) that way as I'm already a great grandpa, you'd be a ready made great great grandpa.....you could sit on the veranda in the beautiful northerly sun with little Grace (my Great granddaughter) on yer knee and tell her all about snowbound Devon. Sounds good dunnit?

Crept out to the shed this afternoon, cut up the first lid and using it for coasters.

So prepared a new lid as per picture below and hope to start machining it to fit tomorrow if I havent applied for immigration .

Finalised the construction, all boxes (trays) fit but I will confess that the side elevations do not meet the criteria of golden ratio.
A bit of sanding to do and then on advice given elsewhere on this forum I shall varnish boxes on this occasion because I gather purple heart changes colour on exposure to ultra violet rays.

So will post nother picture when finish applied .

Thanks for all encouragement and comments.

Very nice and something different that we dont see often. Nice photo blow by blow. The poly will help but not much... purple heart will change color eventually but just depends on how brown it will get. Most of the PH that I have turned are not subject to direct light are a pretty violet colored brown after a year or two.

Ha! What is the primary function of he box? It stays closed until opened. Period.

These work progress descriptions of Yours are of the finest kind. The boxes are incredible, but when You show how and with what they are done makes the thing so damn realistic.

This aussie forum shines sky high especially because of these kind of linear and logical desciptions of how things were done.

    Thanks!
