Thread: Box lock recommendations needed

10mm is very hard most full mortice locks need 6mm mortice for the guts & 8mm for the top, Mic Moggy at Veneer inlay Australia no longer stocks the good 1/2 mortice locks but he assured me he will soon be stocking a new type of 1/2 mortice that doesn't fall apart I'd try his online shop or send him a message. Here in Australia getting good hardware is getting hard The USA has Rockler etc with all good hardware reasonably priced but the postage is very prohibitive. i recently saw a box on Etsy from Morocco for $55 us with a Viola 1/2 mortice lock in it, the seller won't ship to Australia.
