    Default Six boxes finished

A shellac and beeswax has been applied to all 6 boxes completed in the workshop this year. (two additional boxes made but left home without a finish)

    The cylinder box.

The smaller random ribbed box with oak corner mouldings.

The larger random ribbed box with yew corner mouldings

A ribbed box with drop on lid.

Another ribbed box with ribs internally and drop in lid.

    Finally the chevron box.

It is my ambition to make another chevron box in my nineties, but with a 9" square motive for carcass. (leaving until I have more experience)
If anyone is able to send me a cad sketch for the design using the 4 colour timbers, I will print and keep in existing box and hopefully make in 20/25 years time)

Beautiful Workmanship John Especially the ribbed box, that is my favourite, closely following by the cylinder.

I'll look forward to seeing your future Chevron box

    cheers

Very nice set of stripes, John. Are you going to do spots next?

Alex you obviously read my mind. Yes.

    Nice boxes!
My favorite is the ribbed with drop on lid.
I guess you've got your chop saw dailed in pretty good!- chevron box.
I'm both dyslexic and paranoid. I keep thinking I'm following someone.

You make the nicest boxes out of the fewest tools than anyone I know. That, sir, takes real talent.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

The cylinder one is my pick but the others are great too.
    Reality is no background music.

    Thanks all for looking.

Off boxes at the moment, bedroom duties, (making a new headboard) fitted a veneered door to the wall with cleats, and at the moulding stage.

Yeah, sure. We all know that you're really just filling your off-cut bin for the next round of boxes...
