Carving chisel box
Bought an expensive set of pfeil carving chisels and they only came in the plastic sleeves, so I decided I'd make a box to store them in. This is the result, dual layer with the above layer keeping the lower chisels from moving and the lid keeping the top chisels from bouncing out of their spots. Handcut dovetails for the box, lid is rebated into a half lap jointed frame. All made from qld maple except the two strips of NG rosewood leftover from a guitar neck.

How neat is that eh? Well done
What have you done to hold the handles in position and separate from other handles?
Does the removable tray sit on the handles of the chisels underneath?regards,

Thanks everyone im quite happy with it
The handles are sitting in round grooves in a block of maple. I used a forstner bit cutting just over half its diameter so the point was in the timber and half was drillling, half was hanging in the air. if that makes sense.
Not quite it sits about 2mm above so its not rubbing the handles but prevents any real movement between the chisels and prevents any chance of chisels hitting each other
