Clamp for Gluing up Boxes
Here is a tip from Woodworking Tips for a clamp to hold small items while gluing up that might be helpful.

Nice Bazza, this is something that will also make my short list. What a quick and simple little project that will ultimately have a myriad of uses.

I would use a handscrew or 2.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

What a great idea! Drill a hole in the one end, and you can hang it above your bench when it is not in use. I wonder if that basic idea could not be modified for the mitered corners in picture frames? Thanks, Barry!
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Gifkins clamp
Thanks Baz for the link - Roger Gifkins has a similar but different clamp on his website at http://www.gifkins.com.au/WoodworkingPlans.html
Download the clamp for mitred frames. We have several Club members in Newcastle who have built these and they work beautifully!

Box making
How about a router and table ($99 triton!) and a few good jigs. When I can I will post pics of some jigs I use, especially for mitred corners and spline joints.
I like the Gifkins jig. I have used the same sort of thing (only not with the screws). Just clamps across to the fixed sides. I use a little plastic film (shopping bag) to prevent possible stickups.
