Default A couple of small flip tops

I haven't made many boxes this year but my last 2 are just a bit more complex than the previous ones.

This is US walnut with sassy/redgum down the centre and redgum sides. Size is 132 x 99 x 60 mm.

This one is redgum and sassy. First attempt at 2 lids like this. I think it turned out well for a first go even though one lid opens slightly more than the other. Aligning the lid lifts was probably the hardest part. Size is 153 x 109 x 62 mm.

Both finished with a coat of white shellac and UB trad wax.

They look amazing, love them. So much intricate work and precise measuring involved to achieve that. Brilliant.

    Well done. Great idea.
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.
