For The Darts Lover
A guy was lingering at my market stall a few weeks ago and once he'd had a good look around he asked if i could make a box for his darts and i jumped in quick and said yes of course, then he hit me with the in the shape of a coffin. I immediately thought of all the angles but backed myself to do it. So i fretted for a while and did a full scale drawing and got the protractor out and calculated some angles. i had to wreck a mitre sled to do it but i was pleased with the results. He chose the Silky Oak and i finished it with Organoil. The dart holder pivots on Brass pins.

Unusual shape
Your customer will be well pleased with this box. I had never thought about a box for darts, and certainly didn't expect a coffin shaped box to be specified, which makes tow of us!.
Very well executed, and the timber chosen certainly makes it 'one of a kind'.
Happy boxing,
Alan...

Hey DD, nice job, well done. I can match your story, a lot of years ago a local musician asked me to make him a case for his banjo,......................in the shape of a coffin.
Turned out pretty good as I recall, all lined with lambswool.
Great job Dd
