Desk card box with Sliding dovetails.
My latest "experiment" testing out my modifications to my router table was to make a small box using sliding dovetails for the majority of joints. Proved to be quite a challenge and made me realise the desired need for an infinitely adjustable fence as I used up a lot of small "scrap" pieces to get the required tight fit. It was learning time well spent, now I just have to remember the lessons learnt.
Timber is recycled old silky oak salvaged from a very old garage door, unfortunately i had previously used the quarter sawn sections, the trim is jacaranda, finished with spray lacquer. Size 130x130x70 high.
The design is meant to take business cards and flash drives.
