Ear ring rack
My youngest daughter asked me to design and make her an ear ring rack, for her ear rings and her ear studs. Did a design, and got it back, all professionally corrected. The cheek of the little bugger! She does real estate photography for a profession, and runs a team of photographers, and has software that marks out the corrections to be made before publication, and used it against me

The rack is made out of Tasmanian Oak, and finished with three coats of Danish Oil, brushed on for the first coat, then wet sanded for the next two coats with 600 grit W&D, and wiped off immediately. I am not happy with the discolouration of the end grain on the base, especially at the joint line of the upright and the base.
The 110 little slots ended up 2mm wide, and 4 mm deep, not quite as the design specified, but doing a prototype of a rail showed the 3 x 6mm slots were far too big, and that 3mm thick rails too thin and prone to breaking. Final thickness of the rails was 4mm.
The 70 holes for the studs are 2.5mm diameter.
I added the little trays without her knowledge - just letting her know who's in charge
All I can say is that she must have a lot of ear rings and ear studs

Nice to see all the screw slots in the vertical. Stops dust collecting on them.
