Default Four boxes

Just off the saw horse.

These boxes have been made from red Myrtle, one has a Backwood panel in the lid. The joinery is keyed mitres with Blackwood keys for the boxes, the lid panels have been tounge and groved to side pieces.

The finish is three coats of BLO two coats of wax and one of paste polish, I owe thanks to WW to the correct instruction on how to do a BLO job.

I lined the bases with black felt, This felt is the self stick kind and it has been stuck to a piece of foam board from the craft shop the bases were cut so they would be a tight friction fit no glue the foam board has enough give to jam in nicely.

Clever fella, they look great and the myrtle is delicious. What's tounge and groved?

Cheers

I like the protruding front edge of the lid to assist in opening the boxes.

It's also good to see you recycled your old straightjacket!
