    Default Help locating personolized inserts

I have been searching everywhere and while I came across a few I have yet to find one that fits my needs. I am trying to make a humidor as a gift and on the lid I would like to put an insert contaning the initials of the person who it is for. I have seen the ones that they make for example that say crafted by or made in the shop of, etc. but I am looking for something a little smaller that would only contain 3 letters in script, preferably rectangular. I know woodcraft has some that you can get made and they come with a template to use a router to get them in but the plate is way too big for what I need.

Go and talk to an engraver/trophy maker.

You could always try doing them in marquetry and insert them yourself.

I've done a few myself thought you can't get them as small as engraving but they are still very effective.

    Catch you later,

Laser Engraving could do it. Fairly simple to set up in a drawing package and run out in veneer.

Is there anyone near you who advertises.

What the others said. Most trophy engravers can do laser engraving on wood. You supply the artwork as a .doc or .pdf file, give them a spare piece of wood to practice on (different woods require different strength or some such). I've always had good results on a variety of woods.
