    Default Lace Sheoak

There was a discussion not long ago about the thickness of boards Dusteater was selling. Some thought they were a bit thick at 15mm. I don't overly mind but there is a use for thick boards in boxes, as in this one. Unless the the timber is super stable you need a bit of thickness for lift off lids. The handles and corner splines are Beefwood.

Some stunning lace sheoak showcased in a nicely crafted box. Wonderful to see.

One thing with wood, its easy to take a bit away but impossible to put it back, so a little extra thickness presents multiple options as this has shown.

I do like the handles for the lids.
