Magnetic latch for box lid
Has anyone every come across a neat way of making a magnetic latch for a box lid that remains locked until an external magnet is pressed against the latch to release it?
It would preferably be unobtrusive inside the box too. It is intended for a document box
Big ask, eh?regards,
Dengy

something like a smaller version of this Mag-Jig® Magnetic Clamps - Lee Valley Tools ?
though this seems a bit bulky and plastic for a document box Magnetic Secret Latch - Lee Valley Tools
perhaps this On/Off Magnetic Latches - Lee Valley Tools
I can see how a spring loaded pin like this Tool Chest Locking Spring Pins - Lee Valley Tools could be rigged with a magnet on the end of the pin. A larger opposite polarity magnet would force the smaller magnet to release.regards from Alberta, Canada
