Default Mortise lock for 12mm timber?

Hello, can anyone please recommend a mortice style lock for a box lid that will comfortably fit in a box side that is 12mm thick? I would prefer one that will fit in a morticed hole in the front of the box.

The ultimate lock, the real bees knees is the SmartLock by Andrew Crawford in the UK, but it is unavailable at the moment. He does have a few problems with manufacturers for this precision item
    regards,

    Hi Dengue,

Anton Gerner has a mortice lock on his website: http://gernerhinges.com/catches-locks/box-locks/

I also use small half-mortise locks from Lee Valley - they are made in England and work well on 12 mm boxes. 00P2815

If it is a good box and deserves a SmartLock I’d be happy to send you one to use and you could replace it for me when AC’s supplies start to flow again?

    Hope you’re well, Joe.
