Thread: Make your own ring rolls easily

Hi all, discovered a neat an easy way to make ring rolls. Found these hair curling foam rolls on eBay, more rubber than foam. The Selleys contact spray "Kwik Grip" glue takes to it well.
They come in various sizes, 8-20mm diameter, and cut very neatly on the bandsaw, once you remove the thin wire from the middle of it, quite easily done.
The EBay pic below should show cm, not mm for the diameter of the rolls.
Working with the 18mm diam pieces, there is a 6mm hole down the centre if I ever need to put a stiffening length of dowel down the centre.
I sprayed the foam rolls and the pigskin suede cut to the circumference of the roll, and it went on well.
