    Default Ozzie Jig/barrel hinges.

I use 8mm barrel hinges. The Ozzie jig happens to have a pair of 8mm holes spaced about right for a small box. Here is how I shim out the jig to centre the holes in the back side of a box carcase.

    That is good thinking.

I am building a jewelery cabinet and will use the barrel hinges.
The Ozzie jig should make it easier to get straight and square holes.

I bought the first jig then bought the new one for larger dowels. Hopefully I have a matching set of barrel hinges.

    Thanks for the tip.

Noel, DJ has kindly given the address of the Ozzie Jig. What are your ideas?

Noel, I should have also mentioned that Des Fenelon, the inventor of the Ozzie Jig, often demonstrates at the annual Working with Wood Shows in the capital cities. His demo is worth watching. Maybe you can take a look to decide whether you want to invest in one.
