G'day Chippy65 and welcome to the workshop.
Don't live in Vic. So can't help there. Surely you could join pieces.
I suspect that the fires destroyed lots of pine plantations so it may be some time before you can get supplies.

Pine for box making
Hi Chippy,
How much do you need. I have some 175 x 20 RS paulownia that I would dress for you that could be an alternative but in that width my supply is not great. Are you a commercila box maker or do it for a hobby.
John
