    Default Red gum box completed

This is a hand cut dovetailed red gum box for a guy. He wanted a treasure box look and I think I have achieved it. Had trouble getting the right fittings in Australia though. Ended up getting them from Amazon.

Looks good. I'm a bit worried about the lid though. It looks like you've glued a solid piece to the frame. If so, when the top expands and contracts with moisture changes, this will cause stress on the frame joints.

    Cheers,

Thanks. Lid is rebated and then nailed with hand cut nails. There is expansion gaps. Hopefully it will be ok
