    Default Stackable tray carrier

My youngest son is into gaming ( war games, I think) and wants me to make him 5 felt lined trays ( 250 x 200 x 40) that each player will have for tossing his dice. The trays will be stackable, done with rebated top and bottom.

Can anyone please suggest ideas for making some sort of carrier for these stacked trays?

What I would do is cut a dado down the central cross board and the out side cut a rabbit so the two will nest.
Good looking box. If boxes do not have the same center board just make it lower than the rabbit so they nest on just the outside.
Very nice, like to see when you finish. I'm thinking the same for some of my machine shop cutters, we will see.

How about routering a slot vertically in the centre of each tray, make a base for the trays to sit on and have them slide down on top of each other. see pic. sorry, it was a 2min drawing hopefully you get the idea im trying to convey.
