Undoing a glue joint
Is there any successful way, short of using chisels and a bit of elbow grease to undo a glue joint that has been stuck with Titebond II? I have heard of steaming it, can anyone help?

heat followed by acetone or denatured alcohol should also work.
basically you're trying to destroy the glue bond.regards from Alberta, Canada

Quickest and easiest way I find is stick it through a bandsaw/jigsaw.

Cheers guys, I've decided not to undo the glue and be happy with the result. As someone said to me today, wood moves.

Well, not to document this even further, but hey I might as well.
I was really p'd off as I couldn't leave the damn thing alone. i had, meticulously cut the box ends purposely 1mm shorter to ensure a tight fit, but forgot to check the length, and of course after glue up I made the discovery when I trimmed the sides and the base dropped right into the aperture. I then proceeded to glue it up still knobingly oblivious to my SFB thought process. Anyway I have decided to live with my mistake as its the base and rarely seen. The top (saving for another days pics) will more than outweigh my base indiscretion and took a few hours careful manipulation shooting/sanding so that its a press fit not a drop in or a force in. Anyway, here is the damage

Easy peasy!
Just cut a triangle sliver with the grain running the same direction. Make it long enough so you can grab it with your fingers.
Put a little tape down to protect from glue running onto the base and glue it in.
Use a sharp chisel to trim once dries.
100% invisible.
If you are finishing in nitro or poly, just use CA.
edit: added some pix.
