    Default Unplugged woodworker tool box

This is a cabinetmakers toolbox. From a plan from Tom Fidgens book “ The Unplugged Woodworker”. It is all handtool made including handcut skip dovetails. It is King William Pine and Black Bean handle. The idea being you have all the tools you need to make furniture as a Journey man would do in the 1800’s.

Nice looking box and love the dovetails. Did you also make the tools that are housed in it?
Didn't know they used calculators in the 1800's

And a folding wooden and brass tipped ruler instead of the tape measure, and pencils instead of the markers and pens

Lovely tool box. Is there a place for a hand plane or two?

It can fit a low angle 62, a #4 smoother and a couple of block planes.

Very nice. I've been thinking of doing something like this when I complete my apprenticeship, will have to keep the info in my memory bank for then.

Purchased it Friday m Ottos here in Adelaide. Would not recommend it for a project like this. It was like dovetailing a violet crumble.

Nice looking box and well made.

I have the book and have looked at the plan but I do not travel with tools often enough to have the need.
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.
