    Default Some veneered boxes.

    I was given a sample pack of various veneer sheets that were all approx A4 size. I drew up this curved shape design and cut two contrasting sheets at once using the scroll saw.
    The veneer pieces were glued to some 6mm ply and then made into simple boxes. The boxes are lined with a pigskin suede.

    The square box is made with approx 4mm veneer that was glued to tempered masonite.

    NSW Leather, the link given by Ruddy. A skin costs $20-25, and you can get quite a few boxes out of that. If you give them a call, they will send samples of the many colours available.

    Jean-Claude in Sydney is a good bloke to deal with.
