Wall Cabinet Commission
Hello all
I am interested to commission a wall mounted cabinet out of Ancient Kauri and Red cedar to keep some really rare and unique flutes I have been gifted, keen to have some dove tails in it and fancy touches. I am looking for a member of the forum that has reasonable rates but most importanly really loves the work and can make suggestions for design etc, any one have any ideas or recommendations ?
Cheers
Matt

Bellow is a basic description of what I want and what it will be for. The maker must be local to Brisbane/Gold/Sunny Coasts so I can collect it easily and visit the workshop during production. Cash, flutes and or Kauri wood are on offer as payment.
Basically what I want is very fancy wall hanging glass doored cabinet 950 wide x 1300 tall x 300 deep, with some unique design and maybe a drawer inside.
I have some awesome Ancient Kauri Furniture which I made with a professional guide in his shop, I don't really have enough experience or the exact tols for the job so I wish to find someone for this job who is super passionate, this will acompany my other kauri furniture.
So as these are very unique pieces I wish to have something that will compliment them. Interested to have a more rustic country style but not in any traditional sense and flowing lines rather than modern, i don't know exactly what I want and that's the challenge in these projects with regards to design as I found out myself.
The flutes were made by the Late and famous Hawk Little John. He was one of few existing generational flute makers in North America, and registered Cherokee Native... These flutes have a very high spiritual value and are irreplacable, they are even more important because they have been gifted to be by a very special person who is elderly and desabled and can no longer play those ones comnfortably, I have made him some he can play over the years however that suit his needs better.
Also I will store the personal flutes I have made myself and play and record with, this cabinet will be to enshrine them and protect them from the elements and bumps and knocks some being cedar.
Look forward to your help or suggestions of somebody you recommend.
cheers, Matt

Thanks Alex, I have gone over your site and particularly love your platonic boxes. As mentioned in my previous post I prefer the maker to be proximal for collection and a visit during production. Sydney is 9 hours each way unfortunatley. I really apreciate you reply and may be interested in boxes that can easily be sent by post.
Cheers, Matt
