    Default Waste not, want not

As my thankyou box was coming together I had a few offcuts which I didn't really want to turf, so I made this. A little jewellery box for the Mrs. it's currently in its raw state with no finish on or lining. She's impressed so far from an offcut build.

timbers used, Honduran rosewood, silky oak, ebony and a miscelaneous timber, light brown and very cedar like.

    Good job.

I have a couple of boxes of off cuts and its always satisfying to find something required without having to spend 15 minutes machining something 100mm long.

I too find it difficult to throw out those small pieces of burl etc. You just showed their value.

You just sent me right back to square one. I have been putting off a big clean out for years and was slowly working up to clear the small offcuts cluttering the place up. Gonna be harder to do now.
    Nice box.
    Regards

Sorry old chap!! But now you have to make something to prove to the Mrs that all the small bits ARE worthwhile keeping.

    Very neat box!! I like!!

I have plenty of off cuts and small boxes are one of the uses to which I intend to put them.
