1st August 2008, 09:40 AM #18I don't know how I would use the triangular spaces in the tray. Are those just for design, or do you have a practical use in mind?
Nice box, Alex"I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

Just an amazing piece of work. Sorry I cannot help with the timber identification. I've not run across that one before. Beautiful box though.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Nice work. If Doug Stowe ("Mr. Box Maker") likes your design then I would cherish it if I were you.

Hi Alex,
AFA timber goes...its probably some endangered rainforest species....no doubt it came from the last remaining specimen know to exist..
The wonderful colour is a result of certain alkaloids contained in the wood that may have been a cure for cancer.
BTW ....nice box.
