    Beautiful boxes, real family heirlooms. Can you please tell us how you finished the red cedar lid on your earleir box. Looks so smooth. I always have trouble finishing the red cedar because of the open pores

    just sanded lid down to 1000 grit and about 6 coats of danish oil.
