    It's had a couple of coats of oil now, so is effectively finished. I'm still undecided whether I like it or not. More experimentation required, I think.

    Very clever! I like it. To me, the picture of the finished box looks like it could have been made of clay, thrown on a wheel and collapsing under its own weight.
