I like the rules and am pretty flex on timings, however if it can be slightly longer that would be good as I am currently getting some freighted to me (Darwin has no good timber yard options that I am aware of and yes freight to Darwin is quite expensive!). I think I will have to give the wooden hinge thing a miss though as this will be my first project. Might just have to enter one or two!
Cheers
James

I'm in. With one at least. Wendy go for it. Your entries are always a treat. Mid to late august sounds good, I have to clear out the workshop to get at it.

End of August would best suit me, as my spare time is extremely limited, and this would have to be done in my spare spare time. I will most likely only get one entry done.
Wendy, I think it would be a shame if you didnt enter your work.
All the other stuff sounds good.

Any shape you want John and yes, Bandsawn boxes are included.
____________
You challenging me Kerry?? I accept! I might even run a sideline bet with you. If your box/es end up with more points than mine, you get to pick one of my boxes for yourself, and if I end up with more points than you, I get to pick one of your boxes for myself. (oh heck now I have to make 3 boxes)
_____________
Q for you all. Are you all happy to have all boxes included together, or do you want three sub-areas, one for wooden hinges/latches, one for found object inclusion and one of everything else?
The trend for a closing date is 21 or 28 August. If we go 28 August, we could close voting for a winner on 31 August 2011.
cheers

Do you have to pre-enter? I don't want to commit, then find I don't have the time to finish it. I'd rather have a go, and if I finish in time, then I'll enter. Possible?

No, not this time. I will keep a list of names of those who have shown an interest but that's just so I can send you the submission details and make sure I don't miss/lose an entry.

I reckon if you are able to enter three boxes, you can enter in all three categories or one, or just two of the categories.
this challenge is about fun, a few guidelines and rules to determine the boudaries, about having a go and having even more fun.

Hi Wendy....
As usual, I am a bit slow on the uptake.....can you tell me what this means please?
"One box to include a found object "
What qualifies as a Found Object? And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.
