    Default Its Xmas time again

Well every year I attempt to make preasents for every one (almost every one). This year its my grandperents and a good friend in Tassi. This is just the start I have got the kids ones to finish yet.

Boxes are Redgum and Silky Oak, finished with 2 coats of Scandanavian Oil by Feast Watson. The long box has mitered corners and has been flocked with dark green flock (its all I had left), and the other box is O & X's game. Its made from 6mm Redgum and is all mitered Measures 95mm square by 35mm deep.

    Hope you like them.

    Regards Jamie

P.S After uploading the 1st box apears to have wonky sides, I asure you its all square, Must be the way I took the photo.

Very nice box. That timber has a remarkable figure. Fit and finish appear top notch as well. That gift will be sure to be well received.

Great boxes Garell and as Cisco says ,the grain in the long box is terrific . My favorite is the Os and Xes box though and if you don't mind I will borrow that . Make sure you post the ones you do for the kids

    Thanks for the coments.

The only problem with the large box was the Redgum cupped as soon as the saw hit it as I was remachining it. It took a bit to stop it. Still not totaly happy with it. As for the 0 & X's box you can cirtainly make one, show us your compleated version though please Peter

I like the boxes. I want to run my fingers over the wood. I think I will store your 0's and X's box in my head and have a go at one. I was wondering where the 10th piece was going to fit in the 9 hole matrix until I expanded the pic and saw it was a sliding door compartment. A good solution.
