Default kitchen benchtop router jigs advice please

    Hi There,
Can anyone please tell me where in Australia i can buy a kitchen benchtop routing jig.
I have just emigrated from the uk and didnt bring my old jig with me.
I have looked online and the only one i can find is a festool jig which is about $600 , Does anyone know where i can find a cheaper version .

I could have one shipped over from the uk for about $350.

    Any advice greatfully recieved.

    Kind Regards

    Laudami

    G'day Laudami.

I'd build my own, there are some plans on line, have a look at these.

If you still want to buy one, then have a look at these people offer.

I think you have your wires a bit crossed there Cliffy, he's after jigs for cutting mason's mitres on kitchen bench tops.

If you do decide to build your own, there are a couple of good threads worth a read.

From the searching I've done, the only one I can find in Oz is http://www.sunwoodengineering.com.au...g_products.htm under "Wood Working Equipment." I've seen the jig referred to as a "Mason's Apron" jig elsewhere in an Oz forum, but no better search results. HTH

    Laudami,
I think what you are looking for can be found at Carba-Tec. On page 222 of their 2008 catalogue they show the CMT Kitchen jig used for routing the edges of kitchen benchtops. It is not on their website, but you can download the catalogue from their website. You require a 30mm guide bush for the router. The jig costs $199 AU.
    Hope this helps
