Leigh Jig with Makita RP0900X1
Hi Guys,
I have a Makita router RP0900X1 and i'm looking into buying a Leigh jig. However, I got the 706 adaptor and it doesn't seem to fit the router
Does anyone have any idea which adaptor would fit?
Thanks!!

Take the router and the template guide into Carbatec. I'm sure they'll help you in any way they can.

I have the same Makita router and have purchased a Leigh jig. So after much pondering I went off to my local Toolmart shop and they have obtained for me a Makita guide that has the alomost indentical dimensions as the LGH-E7 supplied with the Leigh Jig I have purchased. As yet haven't tried it but that is on the agenda for this weekend. But as someone else suggests - Carba-tec may well have the suitable adaptor.
I will be interested to hear of progress once you have it sorted. I will post my thoughts once I have mine set up. But being of Kiwi origin there are certain sporting activities on that are taking my shed time up at present.
See ya

I just went through the same thing with a different router (Bosch POF 400A). The Leigh adaptor was in the order of $20 - $30. For $30 from Carbatec I got a perspex router base plate which screwed into my router baseplate. The standard Leigh guide bush then fits with no problems, and no adapter. Seems like a much easier way than having to file my existing baseplate to suit.
Cheers,
Tom
