Leigh RTJ400 Jig
Has anyone used this Jig? It looks similar in some respects to the Gifkins Jig but it can do half blind dovetails as well as standard dovetails and finger joints.
Cheers

I had Gifkins, and replaced it with this Leigh jig. I like the Leigh more, very nice aluminium template, clever positioning system, convenient clamps, somehow more comfortable to handle. I did only through dovetails, and the fit was perfect from the first time, just need to follow instructions carefully. I got it a while back with an optional set of cutters, and from what I remember with default included cutters the possibililties are quite limited, check what board thicknesses you can join with them, and see if this will be sufficient for what you plan to do.

Thanks for the replies.
The base kit looks OK for starters. I have an assortment of spiral upcuts and dovetail bits already, so if I buy, I'll see what I can use before looking at the accessory kit. My main problem will be the e7 Bush as it looks like it only comes in the ACRTJ accessory kit.
Update:
I can buy the e7 Bush as a separate item.Last edited by Lappa; 2nd July 2017 at 11:23 PM. Reason: Update.
