Default Simple Trammel Jig for Festool OF1400

    Hi guys,

I'm sure there are plenty of trammel jigs of all types but I wanted to share my first attempt at a trammel for my Festool OF1400 router. Simple, quick to make, works well and has micro-adjustment using a part from the Festool guide rail adapter. The only limitation is a maximum diameter of approx 300 mm with the standard rods (but it would be easy to substitute with some longer rods).

"Standard" length of all-thread is about 1000mm. With coupler nuts, the radius can be as large as needed.

Threaded rod is a good idea. Thanks Joe.

Jig in action. Super rigid and stable. The micro adjust makes it very easy and quick to dial in an accurate radius. I was aiming for 150mm buy I'll take 1/20th of a mm under . With the pin through the mdf I could rotate the router or the piece of mdf underneath with the router stationary with the same result.
