    Smile aromatic eastern cedar

As a novice wood turner, it seems as though I may have chosen a material for many of my turnings that may be about the biggest challenge of ant on which to achieve an even-appearing, shiny finish. Would this be mostly because of its relatively high oil content, variation in density and mixture of white and colored material? Don't care for polymer finishers but wonder if this is the product most likely to get desired results.
