Default Boat cupboard draws go milky

    Hi all,
I have a job to repair the fronts of my grand dads boat cupboard draws. The draws have gone milky. The coating is thick and clear .. like a pour on finish. I’m fairly sure heat affected. I tried light sanding but milky is deeper.

Looks like it needs stripping ... the timber looks to be a veneer .. not sure how to start this ?

Gibe it a wipe over with Mentholated Spirits. If the colour comes back then it might not be a major hassle.
