Default Danish Wax looking to purchase=advice sought

Hello.

Well was wanting to give up woodworking after 20 years of it had enough,But got sheds and sheds of timber no body wants.

So will have to make some furniture to hopefully get rid of it.But its been years since I bought any finishes,I use to use WATYLL DANISH WAX.But Wattyl no longer carry this product.

Does anyone know where I can get a similar product?,I use to get it 1 litre tins,It goes a long way.

Thanks for any advice. On this finish or similar.

Mirotone Mirowax 738 is virtually idential. Available from Mirotone suppliers, or I get mine from an automotive finishing outlet that stocks it.

White slimy gunk. A 500g tin will last for years.

hi,
I was at Carbatec (melb) and they stock danish oil in both the 1 litre and 500ml.
what are you using it on? I will be using it for a chess board.
good luck.

That's not to say danish oil isn't wonderful stuff too......

I find the Rustins Danish Oil is particularly good, worth a drive to Trend Timbers once a year to replenish supplies.
