I sure hope none of them are food...

If it's for incidental food contact like a chopping board or serving plate it doesn't really matter, they'll all be safe enough when cured.

If it is for food contact then your question may have been answered already but otherwise it may help to know what the application is ie floor, furniture, marine etc

Ah, thought you meant food safe. Any reason why you want epoxy? Cross-linking PVA is more than sufficient for those projects and much cheaper, not to mention easier to clean up

Given that this is in the finishing section I presume you want a thick gloss finish on those projects. A pour on epoxy may be suitable for the top of the coffee table but I don't see how that would work on the rest of it or on the entertainment unit. Any reason why you want epoxy?

I think we're all confused because you're drip-feeding us information...

Let's start again properly. What, exactly, do you want to do?

    Yeah my bad.....

Ok. I am doing a few tables and they have cracks and holes that I want to be able to see into still.

My question originally was ment to be:

For cracks and holes what brand of epoxy resin is tested and works well as there are many different sorts online?

2nd part of question for Large cracks. What is best type of epoxy?

Or does one epoxy do both?

    Sorry for the mucking about....

I have attached photo of cookie cut I am working with and other 2 slabs.

For the tabletops with the smaller "features" Rustins Plastic Coating will fill some / most of them in one step.

    Australia

The larger and more unstable features will require a two stage process, one to fill & stabilize the voids then the application of the finish epoxy. There are various approaches to tinting the epoxy for fill, or using a clear casting epoxy with even including found objects in the pour. Search "river tables" for some ideas and tips on compatibility of epoxies etc.

The Boat Cote epoxy range is well regarded. Personally I have used both West System and Techniglue Epoxies (far cheaper than Araldite) for tinted filling with no issues, but have no interest in clear casting epoxy techniques.
