Default wanted a french polisher to do a task for me (Melbourne)

    Good Evening,
I do apologise if I placed this in wrong place - couldnt work out the appropriate place to put it in.

Anyway, I am looking for a french polisher that wouldn't hurt my arm and leg, I have an mantle piece clock that I would like it to be restored, I have been several antique shops and I was really surprised about the costs that it will be and I cannot afford that (have a child and need to buy a house)...

Anyway I am the 5th Generation owner for an 63 year old mantle piece clock and it means a lot to me due in memory of relatives that I have seen passed on, and the veneer is in good condition but the paintwork on the top isn't that great. All it needs to be sanded back, french polished on and I will get the dial and the door nickel plated.

So if someone here knows someone that knows what their doing with that sort of thing - let me know.

    Thank you in advance.
    Cheers
    AP

It might be worth posting some photos of the current finish for comment by the forum members.
