    Default MDF Undercoat

Sorry to ask about pretend wood, but I have a cabinet which a panelbeater friend is going to spray in 2-pack. Trouble is neither he or I know what to undercoat it with. I have sealed the edges with a slurry of cornice cement. What can anyone suggest?

    Cheers,

Hello a sanding sealer will be fine and it will be perfect for the edges as well.

You will need to get one that works with your 2 Pac Paint.

    Cheers

you should use a 2 pack poly-u high build filler sealer. Dependant on what product or should I say brand you are using for the 2pak poly-u topcoat, they will/should also have the high build filler sealer that goes with it....You don't need to use anything on the edges etc as the filler sealer does a damn good job of it itself as thats what its designed for....I use mirotone and they definitly have the filler sealer available, so did wattyl and croda who are called something else now I think....anyway, if ya want more info just ask.
