No wonder all posts have to go though the moderator first, probably because there is so much abuse from frustrated people who haven't got answers !!!

More of an upkeep problem than finishing. Try ubeauts Polish Reviver if the surface has a sound coating on it. That stuff works a treat but if the marks appear to be through the surface and in the timber you might need to strip the old finish and start from scratch.

Unless the surface is roughened, I would not be sanding.

It my be just a simple coat of wax and a good stiff rub will work wonders.

The U beaut traditional wax in natural would be the go.
plenty of, rub it in hard with a bit of rough cloth like a polo shirt and buff of with a soft cloth like t shirt or if you can get it fat ladies cotton panties ( the best polishing cloth known to man).

You will beed a brush for the moulded sections.....a new shoe brush should do the trick.

A bit of wax and bit of elbow grease should do the trick.
