Default Outdoor Furniture Finish

Hello All,
I appreciate this is probably been done to death before-
I have coated my (Indonesian timber) patio chairs with a 40%\60% pale boiled linseed\min turps coating.
A week later they look great, except, they're tacky to the touch (finish looks great as far as colour restore looks)
Any help with hints as to reducing the tackiness would be appreciated.
Kind regards
Grant

You can clean all the stickiness off with turps. Buy some terebine and add to the mix when you repeat, follow the instructions. You might also investigate a fungal growth inhibitor as linseed oil promotes fungus and will blacken the wood. Or just investigate a proprietary furniture oil.

Cheers
Michael

As a further note to what Michael said, when you coated the chairs did you rub off any excess oil with a dry rag after about 20 min? If you leave the lnseed with appreciable wet sections on the surface itcan stay tacky
