Default Salt and Pepper Grinder Finish

    Hi There
Having mainly made pens in the past I have come to the stage where I am now looking for some sort of Finish to use on my salt and pepper grinders. I am looking for a good hard finish that shines extremely well whether it is a 2 pack or something different I really have no idea at all what to use. I have also been doing burl clocks and other types of clocks so any types of good finish will be great.

I am going to say price doesn't matter but it does what I mean is I am happy to pay for something if it is going to do a great job ?

    Thanking you in advance

    Ian

I've used a fair variety of finishes for the outside, just about any sort of turner's finish should work OK. Inside I try to give a coat of spray shellac or run kunos through it, just to try to seal the timber to keep it separate from the salt/pepper.

Aussie oil is pretty damn nice, as is lacquer if you want something harder and are set up to apply it...
