G'day Ajax
I've bought them from Carroll's down in Geelong.
See the url[URL=http://cws.com.au/URL]
They supplied me 3M cut disks 75mmPerhaps it is better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.

I was in Trade Tools Tullamarine the other day and they had boxes of sanding discs but did not notice the sizes. Might be worth a look at their branch nearest you

Check out the yellow pages under abrasives.
Any decent specialist abrasives supplier will give you a better deal than any hardware shop.

velcro paper
If your seriously into saving money on sandpaper there is a massive supply of all types of sandpaper down at
"pete's bargain centre in ringwood Victoria" (03 9870 9577), mostly SIA paper, they also sell a lot of offcut rolls (very handy). Prices are often below the cost of many other shops I've seen. and Pete, the owner will always discount on bulk purchases. Just mention your read this post on the woodworks forum and he said he'll give you a automatic 10% off the price.
they also stock a complete range of carbi tool router bits, arbor tech, plus so much more I'd be he for a week listing it all!
hope this may be of help

Try checking out your local cabinet maker and spray painter buissnesses. They will more than likley be buying sandpaper direct from a sales rep and will be getting it at a far better price than you and I in 'civvy" street.
Ask them if they'd be willing to place a little extra on their next order on your behalf. Of course with the appropiate"handling charge" for their trouble.Sean@Oz

Petes Bargins
I went down there on the weekend, on the way to the snow. Great selection of sandpaper, I have to say that I don't understand all the differing codes on the rolls but they were SIA and Hermes paper so I assume that they are good quality. I am looking forward to testing them out. Great prices on the papers

Pete's Bargain Centre
Went there today to get some sandpaper as suggested and found it was like Aladdin's cave of goodies.
I came back with some 50mm gal pipe at 1/3 the price elsewhere.

One of my mates runs a furniture manufacturing business, when I was around at his factory the other day I asked where he bought his sandpaper from.
He buys his material from Western Australia somewhere in bulk lots but for smaller lots he said try Abrasiflex in Moorabbin.
There phone number is (03) 9553 5922 or there web site is located at www.abrasiflex.net.au
Best of luck

A good idea is to band together with a few mates and buy your abrasives together.
I and two mates have deliderately purchased the same or similar sanding machines.
we just did our big yearly buy.
abrasives suppliers take notice when you order over $600 worth of abrasives in a shot.
split three ways it isn't such a slug.
