    Question Spraying jargon

    Hello all,
Can someone please tell me what a "double header"
coat is when spraying lacquer etc?
I can't find any reference to it in the archives.
    Thanks

Probably depends on where you come from, the last double header I had was an ice-cream, the last double header I saw came from Tasmania....... although I never actually saw the second head, the scar where it had been.

For mine a double header is spraying wet on wet in other words a double coat one straight on top of the other without any drying time. eg start at the top of a vertical panel and spray right to left, left to right until you reach the bottom, then go straight back to the top and repeat the process.

    Any other ideas.

PS you don't want to be too heavy handed with it or you could find yourself in a heap of trouble with runs and/or sagging.

Neil, I'm married to one to them. Kick the traces and I get both barrels for twice as long. But don’t knock their beer. It has two heads and almost takes the p!ss out of Queenslands’ own XXXX!

Double header in my lingo is exactly what Neil suggests. Something I practice whenever I spray.

Hope things are going good up there in MKY mate! Was through there about a week ago and will be flying overhead on Tuesday!
